National Healthcare System
The UK has a free National Healthcare System.
Your first line of contact will be your GP so once you arrive please make sure that you are registered with a doctor in the UK. This will most likely be the University GP who is located at the Strand Campus. Should you require any treatment, unless you go directly to the casualty department of a hospital, your GP will refer you to see a doctor at a hospital. Bear in mind that referals tend to imply a waiting list which varies in length according to your need.
